Entrepreneurship and Personal Development Hackathon: The magic of learning by doing

Entrepreneurship and Personal Development Hackathon: The magic of learning by doing | Quick Tips & Tutorial for your presentations

The new generations show us that the way of learning has completely changed. Now more than ever, it is key to encourage and support the development of social and entrepreneurial skills in children so that they can become more actively involved in their learning. Participating in creative projects and collaborative activities allows them to explore and learn on their own about topics that interest them, solve their problems with more autonomy, and work better in teams.

This idea was the motivation behind the Junior Entrepreneurship and Personal Development Hackathon organized by Slidesgo in collaboration with Genyus School. At this event, more than 150 children had the opportunity to propose innovative solutions to real problems and, in addition, discover and take advantage of the educational tools offered by Slidesgo. As expected, the young participants showed great enthusiasm for applying their knowledge to real-life projects, thus gaining valuable experience that will better prepare them for the future.

The power of an entrepreneurial attitude

The event took place at the Green Lemon Space in Málaga, where over 150 children, aged around 10 to 13 years old, from schools such as CEIP García Lorca, IES Miguel Romero Esteo, and Nuestra Señora de la Victoria (Maristas Málaga), all located in Málaga city, gathered.

Creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit were the highlights of the day. With a dynamic and proactive approach, and in a fun-filled atmosphere, the participants worked in teams to design and develop projects, learning to apply innovative solutions that will be useful for solving real-life problems.

The event encompassed various aspects, including collaborative work, leadership, communication, emotional management, empathy, self-esteem, activation, and motivation, all carried out through interactive activities involving teachers and families. Additionally, Carmen González and Claudia Corrales, Art Directors of Slidesgo, organized a very entertaining workshop where they taught the children about Slidesgo, while reflecting on what they would like to be when they grow up.

Promoting the future through education, entrepreneurship, and personal development

The moment when learning comes to life is when it is put into practice. This hackathon has been proof of this, as this group of committed students has seen how these new tools will help them face future challenges.

Supporting the development of social and entrepreneurial skills in children is key to empowering them and helping them take their projects even further. Participating in activities such as this hackathon allows students to experience first-hand the value of teamwork, creativity, and innovation in building a more exciting and rewarding future.

And, at the end of the day, few goals are as rewarding as making the future of education more exciting and full of opportunities.
